Plot: Marvin Flute is a man who used to be known as a legendary detective, but is now in decline. Having let his family down, Marvin decides to follow every lead in order to make it up to his ex-wife. His search leads him to a strange town called Grimsburg and a cast of interesting characters.

Marvin Flute: Marvin, voiced by Jon Hamm, is a man formerly known as a legendary detective, but now in decline. Having disappointed his family, Marvin decides to follow every lead in order to make it up to his ex-wife.
Harmony Flute: Harmony, voiced by Erinn Hayes, is Marvin's ex-wife. Despite Marvin's past mistakes, she still loves him.
Stan Flute: Stan, voiced by Rachel Dratch, is Marvin's mother-in-law. She doesn't like Marvin and wants to keep him away from Harmony.
Dr. Rufis Pentos: Voiced by Alan Tudyk, Dr. Pentos is an eccentric scientist in Grimsburg. He helps Marvin with his research.
Lieutenant Greg Summers: Lieutenant Summers, voiced by Kevin Michael Richardson, is Marvin's boss in the Grimsburg police department. He doesn't trust Marvin very much.

Lieutenant John Kang: Lieutenant Kang, voiced by Greg Chun, is Marvin's friend in the Grimsburg police department. He is always ready to help Marvin.
Wynona Whitecloud: Voiced by Kaniehtiio Horn, Wynona is a Native American woman living in Grimsburg. She helps Marvin solve a mysterious case.
Conductor Patsy Stamos: Chief Stamos, voiced by Wendi McLendon-Covey, is the chief of the Grimsburg police department. She always provides Marvin with food.

Although Grimsburg is not a production in the traditional anime style, it does contain some anime elements.
