Shoshimin: How to Be Ordinary is an anime series based on the novel series by Honobu Yonezawa and produced by Lapin Track. Released in 2024, the series follows the adventures of Jōgorō Kobato and Yuki Osanai, two high school students who long for an ordinary life.

A Story Blending Mystery and Comedy

Kobato and Osanai desire to lead an ordinary life after the traumatic events of their past. To this end, they decide to live quietly and peacefully when they enter high school. But this desire is constantly interrupted by a succession of mysterious events and misfortunes. Disappearing bags, figures lurking in the shadows and unexpected accidents shatter Kobato and Osanai's dreams of mediocrity.

But determined to solve these mysterious events, they find themselves in a new adventure each time. During these adventures, they strengthen their friendship with each other and discover the true meaning of ordinary.
