PLOT

The story follows two endlessly optimistic best friends, Gary and Joel, as they navigate the challenging world of adolescence without any parental support. Gary's father abandoned him long ago, leaving him with a neglectful stepmother, while Joel's elderly parents are distant and uninvolved. The few adults in their lives provide little to no guidance, certainly not serving as role models. Despite their tough circumstances, Gary and Joel maintain a positive outlook, relying on each other to face life's challenges together.
