PLOT
The show is similar in format to Hanna-Barbera's Scooby-Doo and focuses on four adolescent friends who run the private investigation agency, Clue Club, from Larry's suburban home. The team includes Larry (19), Pepper (18), D.D. (16), and Dottie (13). They solve mysteries with the help of their two talking hounds, Woofer and Wimper. The dogs communicate only with each other and the camera, and are not understood by the human characters. The mysteries often involve unusual crimes, such as a movie director disappearing or a two-ton statue vanishing into thin air. The Clue Club has a closer relationship with the local police compared to other Hanna-Barbera shows, frequently assisting the Sheriff with cases and sometimes making arrests themselves.
